I am president of a club and I want to do some community projects that will benefit the local elementary schools. These schools are filled with students that come from drug filled homes and poverty.Knowing this I STILL can’t find any projects; Like contests and stuff that the high school can do to benefit them or something or another?? Thanks

You also need to call each school and ask them what volunteering activities they want/need.
What is academic year for elementary school in USA. Is it jan – Dec or Sept- June. Does the year change by state ?
When does the admission process starts and what is the process for taking new admission in first grade.
I am planning to take admission for my kid in first grade but not aware how the process goes.
To gain admission in an elementary school, you must prove that you live within the school boundaries. This would be a rental lease or proof that you own the house. You also need something like a utility bill with your name on it at that property. Many schools also require that your child have certain medical shots which may differ by state. You would also need a birth certificate to prove the age of your child. No tests are needed unless your child is obviously mentally disabled.
In some states the school year goes from August to May so you need to check with the exact district that you want to have your child go to.
What are the best elementary schools in the Portland Area? Including cities like Beaverton, Tualatin, Lake Oswego, Hillsboro, Gresham and all the others.
Bethany elem. Jacob Wismer Elem. Findley Elem. Pretty much and school in the Beaverton school district.
I know that in high schools they do, but what about elementary? Middle school? I guess you can choose a foreign language, but is it compulsory in any american elementary or middle school to study some spanish/french/german etc. on top of english?
Since US schools are run locally, the requirements and offerings vary greatly from one school to another. In Allendale, NJ; they start learning either French or Spanish in kindergarten, and learn it throughout elementary school. But where I grew up, foreign languages weren’t offered until middle school – 6th grade. In still other school systems, language may not be offered until high school.
IMO, it’s a shame. I wish more elementary schools offered foreign language.
I forgot some study homework at my elementary school in Ontario, Canada. Are the doors unlocked at the school? Maybe are custodians there?
Some schools have Saturday school for behavior problem children. You would be better off seeing if you can borrow from a classmate.
I have spent the last half hour googling this with a bunch of stupid results.
Can anyone help me find a list of countries that teach foreign language in elementary schools nationwide?
In canada most schools teach french in elementry schools, but i wouldnt consider that a foreign language since french is a official language. My german exchange student had to learn english or french in elementry school then had to learn latin.
My husband and I are relocating to the Dallas area and don’t have a clue where to look. We want to stay outside Dallas. He will be working in Mesquite and we have been looking around the Rockwall Rowlett area at homes. Any pointers will help. We would like to hear feedback on areas of town to live (good or bad), schools (elementary for now), family friendly areas, ect. Any feedback is appreciated.
Dallas schools are HORRIBLE! I have lived in Dallas county all of my live. Mesquite is where I went to school after a year in Dallas Elementary. Kids in my sixth grade class where already having sex and doing many things a child that yound shouldn’t do. Kids in kindergarden were cussing me out. So I’d skip Dallas all together. Rowlett and Rockwall are good. I have a nephew in Rowlett and a neice and nephew in Mesquite. I would say Rowlett and Rockwall are where you guys would want to look for a home and school. Any specific questions email me.
My family is moving to the Elizabethtown area in Kentucky (Fort Kox PCS) and we are trying to figure out what part of town to live in. What are good elementary schools? Lincoln Trail? Heartland? Any advice?
Thanks!
First thing you want to do since you likely don’t know anyone there is to review this link: http://www.greatschools.org/
You can further research with this link: http://www.greatschools.org/search/search.page?state=KY&q=Elizabethtown&type=school
Finally, you can compare the two schools you already know about by checking here:
http://www.greatschools.org/search/search.page?search_type=0&q=Elizabethtown&state=KY&c=school
Lincoln Trail rates: 8 out of 10
Heartland rates: 5
Based on that alone, Lincoln Trail is far superior.
Good luck!… ☺
Ok. There was a computer game I played in elementary school. You played as a detective and you had to go around the school and take pictures of these ghosts and ghouls or something like that. You had to solve the mystery and foil some evil scientist’s plans or something like that. I can’t remember what the game was called.
You are thinking of the "Super Solvers" series by the learning company. Specifically "midnight rescue." by the learning company.
Spanish is needed right now, and I don’t understand why schools aren’t teaching Spanish in elementary school when they learn faster.
Most of the elementary schools in my state do. That yours don’t is a matter you should bring up with your school district officials.
